The eagerly awaited final hard-court match of the year has now been & gone. At times it felt like we were in Kansas with the swirling winds during the first half and whilst the wind can often be a leveller, it proved not to be the case.

The men were tested at times, but the ladies eased through with 3&0 and 1&2 wins and it was 24-0 at the half.

That domination continued in the main during the mixed and other than a heartbreaking 12-10 tiebreak loss for Harry & Mel it was another job well done for the 2s with a 44-4 win.

Well done to everyone involved, Rich, Murray, Harry, Jen, Kathy, Rebecca & Mel and we extended our lead over Pinewood to 30 points as we head into 7 straight weeks down at Neston.
