The 100% record may have gone but this Neston 2s side don’t give up without a fight. In yet another away match on hard courts, this top of the table clash was in danger of being a one-sided affair with three straight set wins early doors for the home team.

That seemed to stir Neston on as Harry & Lloyd put the first points on the board with a 4&4 win in the 2nd Mens and Lloyd continued that great form into the mixed and partnered with Zoe pulled off a superb 6&4 win in their mixed.

Once Mel convinced Andy that it was ok to play doubles from the baseline they quickly got on top of, and into their heads of their opponents to wrap up a 4&2 win that left the score 30-18 in Pinewood’s favour but with Neston 2 still holding a 24 point lead at the top.

One more hard-court match to come next week before 7 weeks back-to-back at home to finish the season.
