Match Report by jack coyleNeston started the night with a talks of tactics for pairings and surface, which resulted in the grass being chosen especially when Rich is in the team.
In the first half it was the ladies showing their strength with Emma and Rach finishing their match only dropping 2 games. As well as Lydia and Jen losing narrowly in a championship tiebreak.
In the mixed matches Rach and Jack lost a tight 3 set match which included winning a set from 5-2 down. The night finished with Rich and Jen getting an important 3 set win in the bottom mixed
Not the result the team wanted but important points on the board, especially against a full strength Prenton. Next week we take on Hoylake and we have Heathy returning to babysit Thom at top pair, so we’re hoping to pick up more points in the fight for survival.
