Another week of superb results for the Neston 3’s vs Neston 2’s during the heatwave!

Will and Joe faced tough opponents, losing 2-6,2-6 but giving it their all! Hannah and Kirstie fought hard in the heat, having intense and long rallies against their strong opponents. Jason and Mark had a long match with lots of big hitting shots. They won their first set 6-2, lost the second 3-6 before coming through 10-5 in the championship tie-break. Molly and Sue got off to a flying start but ultimately lost the battle 4-6, 1-6!

In the mixed it was tiebreaks galore. Hannah and Joe lost narrowly in a nail-biting championship tie-break. The scores on the doors were 6-7, 7-6, 8-10. The rallies were intense, and Joe’s volleys were on fire! Both pairs could definitely feel the nerves in the tie-break! Strong resilience was shown despite the defeat.

Jason and Molly had a close second match, but lost overall. Mark and Sue lost 3-6,3-6 but shots were consistent and rallies were tight. Will and Kirstie lost in straight sets after a tough match against strong opposition!

Overall everyone fought hard in the intense heat!
