Mid-Season Review
Report by BEN HOLROYD
Well, that's the first half of the season done.
After the chaos, stress and scrap for points (and players) last year, what a difference a season makes. We labelled this as our reset season, and the turnaround across all five teams has been soooo good. The vibe around the club, the availability, the support, the skippers! The vice-captains, the RESULTS.
Rachel Schofield's 1s are digging in every week against the best teams on the Wirral.
Andy Atkinson's 2s have bounced back from last year's disappointment with intent and currently sit top of the table by 30 points.
Lloyd Murphy's 3s are making life difficult for everyone in Division 3.
Jason Long's 4s continue to pile on the pressure breathing down Pinewood's neck at the top of the table and looking stronger every week.
And the mighty 5s just keep rolling. They seem to get better every match and sit only 14 points off top spot with seven weeks still to play.
So here we are. Half-time. Seven weeks left. Three possible titles and maybe a playoff if we can really push.
Kudos to each and everyone who's played, filled in, stepped up, played up, supported, captained, organised or just been available and ready to represent the club so far this season.
UP THE SHRIMPS.
