A great evening of tennis on the hard courts away at Prenton 3s.

Neston 3s started strongly, producing some solid early-season performances. Several matches turned into real marathons, with four decided by championship tie-breaks—thankfully, we came out on top in three of them, which proved pivotal.

A strong debut from Olly, who looks set to be a fantastic addition to the club. Very much a Tim Henman type—clearly enjoys a serve-and-volley game.

It was also great to see Jonny back on court, showing some excellent touch and reminding us he’s still got a full range of shots.

Shirley and Hannah were outstanding, dominating their opponents in the ladies’ doubles.

Zoe and Kirstie put in a huge shift, spending the most time on court with some long, hard-fought matches, and played a key role in securing valuable sets in the mixed.

Well done to Joe as well for picking up three sets—could have been even more if he’d been able to see past his fringe! A visit to the barber before the next match might be in order… captain’s instructions.
