Match Report by DAN BRADLEYAfter a 42-6 loss, we concluded that tarmac should be used for roads, not for tennis courts.
We also concluded that we don’t really like Pinewood although it is worth noting that we are bad losers.
The first round of games didn’t go brilliantly with only one match going to 3 sets, still resulting in a loss. The second round of games was only slightly more positive with two matches going to champs tiebreaks, again without any wins. Pinewood served us chocolate cake with strawberries afterwards but the damage was already done.
In summary, Craig introduced dark arts tactics, Becky said that her mixed game loss was all Matt’s fault (Matt had already left so had no opportunity to disagree), Mollys cracking overhead smashes got us into a champs tiebreak and Sue practiced her weight lifting for the team photo.
We’re all on holiday for the next away match on hard courts.
