Rules 2026
There will be a Main draw with a Plate draw in all categories.
Any event containing more than 4 entries will be split into groups of 4 (or as close as possible) with the Top 2 places in the Group proceeding to the Main Draw and the 3rd and 4th positions in the Group proceeding to the Plate Draw. This guarantees at least 4 matches per event per entrant.
All matches are best of 3 tiebreak sets with a match tiebreak to 10 (with 2 clear points) for the 3rd and deciding set. Tiebreak to 7 (with 2 clear points) in the first two sets if tied at 6 all.
Surface of match played on, to be decided by coin-toss, if disputed among the players.
Play by dates must be adhered to. It is the responsibility of both teams to ensure their match is completed by the Play by date displayed on the website. This is to ensure all matches are completed in a timely manner.
If a team offer their opponents three reasonable dates/times to play without agreement and no reasonable counteroffer is made, then that team has the right to claim a walkover.
If any team fails to appear at the agreed time and date arranged or cancels an arranged match and the match cannot be rearranged before the Play by date on the website, the opposing team shall be awarded a Walkover and progress to the next round.

Please ensure to book a court for your match.
Teams to bring a set of acceptable standard balls each and agree on which ones to use before the match. If undecided, toss a coin. Balls should be in new or nearly new match playing condition.
In the event that any of the categories receives below 6 entires, the club captains will make a decision as to whether the category will run.

Finals day will be Saturday 12th September 2026, which leads onto the End of Season Annual Tennis Party event in the Cranston that evening.
